Top 10 Video Game Controllers of All-Time

Matt Banks of Loot Ninja made his way over to Valve to check out Left 4 Dead 2 like so many did, I'm sure. However he managed to pull a nice quote out of his chat to update any PS3 users on the situation of getting any non-EA ported Valve titles.
The PC and the 360 are just more straightforward. We can focus on what we want to do, which is make game experiences, instead of sweating bullets over obscure architectural decisions they make with their platform. [...] I didn’t come into this business in the 90s because of some technical fetish. I came in because I wanted to give people experiences that made them have fun.

Will GrepPoints get me laid?
I am in disbelief your post is even serious (it can't be.. can it?)
I am Mike Masashi Murakami III from http://www.bingegamer.net (that is where I work (and I do post stuff from there of course), also, my name is a bit long for a user name.. but I always use "PacoDG".. so you google that and see everything about me if you want to know)
This is definitely not "News" as in regular news.. but there is an "Industry News" section just for updates like this. Valve has not come out and straight up said such specific things about why they don't do PS3 games.. at least not that I remember. But even if they did, I will say it is still news, as we are near mid-way the lifecycle of these "next gen" consoles (well, I guess not mid-way if PS3 is really going for a full 10 years), it is at the very least interesting to hear a third party developer that receives no benefits in working with just one console, to still continue to do so.
If we didn't already know this it would be news. Since it is common knowledge to anyone who even remotely cares, however, it isn't.
If you were under some notion it wasn't common knowledge and didn't know, then fair enough. I'm still going with the point theory though; nothing personal.
For now though on the real topic of this "News", I think you can look back and see Valve has in fact flip flopped on their opinion of the PS3:
PS3 a "total disaster on so many levels" from 2007 http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=155309
"Valve's Doug Lombardi admits PS3 success, 're-evaluating' development" from 2008 http://playstation.joystiq.com/2008/08/22/valves-gabe-newell-admits-ps3-success-re-evaluating-developm/
Where is now other site's are picking up this loot-ninja story.. (It's still on the front page of Kotaku right now, they posted it last night at 11:30pm est). I think whether you want it to be or not... this is in fact.. news.
And there has been no flip-flopping, just people reading into things too much and misinterpreting what they say. That whole thing wasn't about Valve developing for PS3, that was about allowing constant ports made by EA or someone, like they did with The Orange Box and were thinking of doing with L4D.
Like I've said above, however, if you didn't know, fair enough. I'm just still going with the whole points theory. You can say they mean nothing, but there are still people who try to raise their post count for trivial reasons and shout 'FIRST' in youtube video comments. It doesn't need to mean something for someone to do it; again, no offence.
We all know you're doing it for the points, since points are so important!
It seems that you didn't understand. That makes me laugh.
I was merely mocking you for acting like points were important, and how you insulted Paco for posting an article, which is not only pointless, but a bit childish as well.
I've seen you post in many articles where I've danced the dance and, a fair few occasions, you were commenting on the dance itself. If memory serves I've danced with you a few times as well. So why you think I took your comment seriously is beyond my comprehension. I suppose the old saying is true; no smiley face equals interwebz is serious bizness
My comment was a subversive mockery of those who do whore articles for points. Nothing more, nothing less. And I wasn't mocking Paco, not trying to at least, I was just trying to understand why he had posted it without being given a generic and obvious answer designed to save someone's ass which can't technically be argued against anyway. If I did insult him whilst doing that it was just an unintended byproduct.
I find it funny though how someone joins in doing something they themselves soon after describe as childish

Random other stuff: I can agree this is not "News" news, it is still being reported by reputable places (as I personally find Kotaku mixes up reputable with tabloid sometimes).
IGN http://ps3.ign.com/articles/993/993592p1.html
TechRadar UK http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/consoles/valve-ps3-too-complicated-to-develop-for-607193
You insulted someone for posting an article, while I mocked you for being an ass.
There is a difference.
And, looking at your comment that I replied to earlier, you were obviously trying to be a sarcastic jackass.
...what? Just to set things straight, I don't think I want to dance at all. When you use metaphors like that, you sound like a cliche movie character. Please stop.
You're a 14 year old girl, you start arguments over stupid bullshit, and spew shit from your mouth in order to keep the argument going. Examples of your jackassery are insulting people for no good reason, ignoring points of someone's arguments, not being able to understand a simple joke, and being a smart ass or a dumb ass (whichever one best fits the situation).
I don't mean to be so harsh, but you asked, and I'm merely calling it as I see it, for lack of a better phrase...
Also, don't forget, carouselambra is my alternate account, I'm the reason Duke Nukem Forever has been such a mind*bleep* and I eat the souls of babies
I actually do think I took my last post a bit too far, and I came back to hopefully edit it before you got back, but I'm apparently too late. Even though I'm sure you're not sensitive enough to let something like that hurt your feelings, I actually do apologize anyway.
And I'm not trying to weasel out of an argument. I realize that I shouldn't have even got involved, because it wasn't my argument to begin with.
Also, I have one last question...Is carouselambra really your alternate account? Lol, judging from what I just saw you say about him in the "Counterstrike" article, that can't be true. I can't tell if you're joking or not...
EDIT: Nevermind. I'm stupid for even asking that...
We come, we argue, we argue some more and then the next thing you know we'll be laughing together in the next Flower article at the 140-bazillion posts. Gamegrep goes on, and so forth
But whatever, if they don't want to make games on PS3 then they don't want my money
They just like developing for the PC. Suck it up fags.
Note: I'm referring to the comments in the cited article, not this one.
No one here was bashing MS, so no clue why you always feel the need to attack Sony and anyone who plays on their shit. I didn't even see anyone say they hated Valve which you claim. It's pretty hard for me to like someone when I don't have an opportunity to play their game, let alone hate them.
(nice edit DystopiaSticker ... because damn, those comments on that page are scary. I pray that it isn't a bunch of people, but rather just one big dork under many user names)
I haven't bashed Sony and you must not be looking very hard if you think I'm the only guy to bash a platform when you frequent a forum like general PS3. Honestly guy, bash anyone who plays Sony's shit? I'm like ten feet from a PS2, a PSP and dozens of PSX games. Half of my favorite games of all time are Sony exclusives. I favor the 360 over the PS3 this generation. Turrible I know.
Now assuming he didn't see that last bit and thought you were referring to this article would his comment be legit? Of course it would. Then, after seeing the last bit, he posted the comment below, clearing it up. Don't take it so personally if someone misunderstands what you're saying but then, after realising what was going on, says it's fair enough. Seems pointless.
But perhaps it's easier for Valve to develop on PC/360 because they started with PC, and the 360 has a similar architecture, and that's that? Just a thought.
Think about it.
Think about this for a few minutes, take a nap and then think if you understand that. Might be pushing it a bit though..
What part of "Valve", "not try", and "doesn't like" don't you get?
