After learning that ZeniMax has acquired id Software, the out-of-nowhere acquisition/merger news train continues. This new news comes from Electronic Arts, where the publisher has announced that Mark Jacobs, General Manager of MMO developer Mythic Entertainment has left EA effective yesterday, June 23rd. This comes as a part of EA's restructuring of their role playing/MMO development group, with Mass Effect and KOTOR developer BioWare being merged with Mythic Entertainment (Dark Age of Camelot).
BioWare's current General Manager and co-founder Ray Muzyka will lead the new development group as Group General Manager, with the other co-founder Greg Zeschuk taking on the role of Group Creative Officer. Mythic Entertainment co-founder Rob Denton will act as Mythic's General Manager and report to Muzyka.

Comments
I'm not sure I like this. Bioware has very strong brand recognition. People will buy Bioware games based on the sole fact they're made by Bioware. Any change to their forumla could be detrimental.
