Endrant Studios is a small UK based developer, who was working closely with Raven Software to finish the multiplayer aspect of Wolfenstein. However, many of the companies key members were fired on Tuesday, the same day the game was released. A spokesperson for the studio had this to say:

“We have recently completed a development cycle and have regrettably been forced to make adjustments to staff and headcounts. Those affected are valued members of our team who have worked incredibly hard on our latest title. We hope that they land on their feet quickly.”

It is a shame that the company felt it needed to fire members of its staff, without even finding out how well the game was selling. Hopefully, this is was a one time decision, and not something the company plans to due with future development teams.

Well, I rented the game 2 days ago when it came out and I thought it was a really good (albeit short) game. I honestly hope that the game sells well.

in most cases, you want a game to sell well so nobody gets fired, like when Eidos fired those guys when tomb raider didn't sell.

In this case, these guys are fired on the first day, so it doesn't really matter how well the game sells.
