PSN to SEN: Time to rage quit? - DarkFeed

In response to PS3 taking the top spot in terms of sales, David Dennis, a spokesman for Microsoft says that they expect it to be short term and expect that the PS3 will "be back down to third place soon like they've always been".
"We feel great about our numbers, and we expected Sony to have a great month," Xbox spokesman David Dennis said. "We expect it to be short-term and we expect them to be back down to third place soon like they've always been.
He said Xbox 360 is still the only console showing overall growth this year.
"Across all categories, the Xbox 360 platform contributed the most to industry unit and dollar sales as sales of 360 hardware, software and accessories comprised 32 percent of the month's revenues," NPD analyst Anita Frazier said in a statement.

Or atleast, thats my opinion. Who knows whats gonna happen?
That's one thing I really liked about Sony's stance on talking about other companies; I can't remember a time they shit-talked a rival company, many times outright refusing to give negative comments (Such as Xbox's Natal).
Then you have Microsoft saying these types of things all the time, giving away DLC for people to vote in a poll against competition (Forza vs Gran Turismo) as well as other tacky things.
The fact of the matter is this: Sony saw a huge bump in sales for nearly two months due to the price drop; meaning they've outsold the 360 (and even the Wii) for the first time in a while. For consumers (Whether you're a 360 or PS3 fanboy), this is great news. Competition drives the market. Both companies will be pushing themselves to keep your loyalty and try to win you over.
But really, every company seems to have a PR person that's specifically hired to talk trash.
Wow . . . Microsoft, you're making me start to not like you!
Microsoft: "We're better than Sony! Look at our sales figures!"
Sony: "We're better than Microsoft! We offers a shinier gaming experience with BLU-RAAAY!"
Nintendo: "We care about hardcore gamers!"
And the fanboys fall for it every time. Suckahs.
It's not personal, just business.
But they fail to realize that some people STILL are taking time to save up the money for it. Some are STILL making room for it in their budgets. Some are STILL planning on getting it for someone for Christmas. So there's still the majority of buyers out there still interested in the PS3.
Screw honor, neither of them had it in the first place. If they're gonna be petty little *bleep*wits then they may as well be them in more entertaining ways IMO.
As much as I HATE the Wii, there is much it does correctly. It markets to EVERYONE, not just the average gamer. Motion controls + Mario = instant sales. Plus the low avaliability at the start, PLUS having the widest array of kid-friendly games, +PLUS+ being the most affordable... They didn't come across this formula by accident. By catering only to "real gamers", a company will miss out on far too many marketing opportunities.
Remember, I hate the Wii, but they DID have the best sales strategy.
and Wii DOES NOT cater to hardcore gamers. if you think that you are a massive dumbass. any games you could name that are games for "hardcore gamers" are either on 360/PS3 too or are a Poor Man's version of a game on 360/PS3. none of the 1st party games count as hardcore games. only one i can think of is Conduit and that game sucks.
