If you have ever wanted to buy a game in Australia and found it to be banned or Refused Classification, yet seen it readily available overseas, then this is important to you.

Head over and find out what the issues are and what will be happening this weekend in Brisbane on 5th Dec.

If you want change, you must help it happen. Otherwise you have no one else to blame if harder laws are passed stopping even more games that every 'adult' should have access to.

Slip over to the site now and find out more.

For more information and OXCGN’s views check out the following articles which have been published over the lasy several months on the issue.

If YOU want games to be passed here in Australia that all other countries get, and also have the games rated in acordance with the correct age rating, then this IS something that ALL Australian gamers need to get behind.

Or, are you going to leave it to someone else to do, because you “don’t have the time”? If that is the case, then you have no right to complain when further draconian censorship is imposed here in Australia, you will have no one else to blame other than yourself.

Doing nothing achieves – “nothing”.

As much as I love how this is happening, somehow, I doubt it'll make the biggest difference. I'd like to point out it's Michael Atkinson stopping the rating from happening... and seriously, unless all the higher ups decide that he should get kicked out or the laws should be changed or whatever, it won't exactly accomplish anything. Still, I suppose some awareness in the general public is better than no awareness.

Even that being the case, I'd still attend if I were able, but I've got no way to get to Brisbane, it being like 6-8 hours away or so.

Complacency like that is what allows things to stay the same. You get enough demand from people, you get change, or the people start lighting shit on fire.

Should just light Michael Atkinson's car on fire instead.

I would have thought the wise way to do it would be to have one in each state, although tbh protesting against it outside SA, the dimwit's demesne, seems a little pointless.

Exactly. Being from Brisbane I know I'm not going to this, and not just because it's my fathers birthday that day. The only people who can make a difference with this fool is the voters in his seat in SA. If they vote him in we get shit creek flooding all over the country. If they don't then we reach the greener grass on the other side. Gamers who want to make a difference need to go to his seat and protest to the voters there.

He probably wouldn't allow it in "his"state, and consider it a public nuisaunce and not allow the rally hehe.

Th eppl organizing it have limited funds, as no one is going to pay for these things, and running succefull ones cost remember. If this goes as planned, raises public awareness, then others will follow. A local paper in SA did a poll based on his comments where he stated that most SA and Australians did NOT want a R18+ rating, the poll showed that 89% of those that replied to the poll alongside his article said YES, they wanted the rating introduced . .

But I think he's a tad blind now . . doesn't wantto see what is in front of him, and still thinks parents need his guidance with their own kids, after all, he IS protecting the children - right?!
