Tom Ivan reports on the news that the company Activision has secured a licencing deal to produce games under the name of Crazy Bones. Many of you will probably remember these from younger years playing at school or home, well soon you might be playing with them on your television. Supposedly, it'll be a big contender alongside Pokemon... we'll see.

The publisher is set to launch titles based on the collectible children's toys for Nintendo platforms in a bid to replicate some of the platform holder’s success with its Pokémon franchise, reports CVG.

The Gogo's Crazy Bones franchise is widely seen as second only to Pokémon in the collectible toy market, having enjoyed huge popularity on both sides of the Atlantic, according to the site.

I really don't think they will be any contender against the Pokemon games. But man, I use to love Crazy Bones growing up!. I would trade with my friends at school and battle with them. Of course they got banned which sucked. But Crazy Bones were awesome!

    Seriously?

Anyway, they've got a long of ground to cover if they intend for these kinds of games to go compete with Pokemon. Nintendo have practically a stranglehold on that market as is.
