Ubisoft have announced that they plan on switching from the Paper Manuals to putting manuals into the games themselves.

Something that aged game collectors won't be a fan of.

The fingering of a game manual is one of the key rituals of buying a new title for some core gamers. Indeed, highly produced examples such as the manual found in the UK version of EA’s We Love Katamari or any GTA are collector’s pieces in their own right.

However, these are changing times. The first game to shun manuals will be Shaun White Skateboarding this autumn. Instead, future releases will include an in-game digital manual.

Meh, why not have both? I've always liked having the paper manuals, seems kinda dumb that they would just take them out.

costs money to print, as well as makes each game case heavier which increases shipping costs dont ya know?

As much as I don't care that they are taking them out I must say that, I doubt they really care about cost to sell their games. They are already making a killing with prices as high as they are.

I like the print one, I love reading them as soon as I buy a game before I put it into my console. Not that this will affect me, thankfully, though I feel sorry for people who are like me. Saving trees? Pah.
