EA's latest football sim has bagged itself an early goal by topping the sales charts.

Proving World Cup excitement is well underway, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa came first in the UK all-platform charts a week after release, ahead of Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV. With the world's biggest tournament itself just under a month away, gamers have flocked to buy the game on the three big consoles and the handheld PSP version.

As the title suggests, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa allows players to prepare for this summer's massive tournament by playing for the prize themselves, with stars such as Wayne Rooney and Fernando Torres all present and correct.
