E3 2007: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Release Date Revealed!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl get's it's release date...and it just so happens that it made it to 2007. Better late than never, December 3rd is it's North American release. Just in time for Christmas, heh.

During its press conference during 2006's Electronics Entertainment Expo, Nintendo took the wraps off its next installment in the highly anticipated brawler featuring classic video game characters, Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii. At the time, the game was dated to arrive in early 2007, though that date was later bumped at the Nintendo Summit in May. However, Reggie was quick to reaffirm that Super Smash Bros. Brawl would still make it to market in 2007.

Now, a year and some change later, Nintendo has used its E3 Media and Business Summit press conference to reveal that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will double-jump onto the Wii on December 3.

The newest Smash Bros. will feature several industry icons not seen before in the series. In addition to Wario, Pit from Kid Icarus, Kirby villain Meta Knight, and a Samus Aran sans heavy-metal duds, Solid Snake would lend his lethal stealth abilities to the game, cardboard box and all.

A little later than I expected, but with the Wii's price and popularity of SSB, I see them selling a ton of copies this holiday season. Just in time for Christmas

True, I doubt next year can top this. Sure there's the release of many great sequels, but the anticipation on huge titles like SSBB, GTAIV, and Halo 3 are sure to outweigh it.

Credit Card debt. It's worse than the Red Ring of Death xD They could possibly sell more than Halo, being that more Wii's have been sold, but we'll have to wait to find that out.

When I saw the conference and Reggie said that it was comming on December 3, I screamed like crazy. I guess I will wait until christams, getting it on the release date won't awesome like it would be on christma's day.
