By the words of the article 2010 has been the XBOX360s' top year ever but 2011 is still seen as to be another record year with sales deemed to be still accelerating.

The company's "normalized" console sales to show how the Xbox 360's broken away from the pack in the U.S. to approach Nintendo's Wii and, surprisingly, surpass even the lofty PlayStation 2, for cycle-to-cycle growth.

    Meh. I don't enjoy my console based on company sales figures. MS can suck on its numbers; it doesn't bother me.

    Yeah, it looks like this only takes into account the US market.

    Not saying that the 360 isn't growing, but I wouldn't be surprised Japan and Europe had the other consoles doing better.

      Japan always sees greater growth in Sony brands by a large margin in comparison to Microsoft brands, and the UK is about even when it comes to the competition because Britain isn't as full of 12-year-old blind loyalists as USA is

    I wouldn't be surprised to see a big part of this is due to people with older 360's going out and buying new ones due to RRoD out of warranty or simply to avoid getting RRoD in the first place.
