Um, Square-Enix's new Luminous engine looks really, really... real. And the craziest thing is that it's supported by Direct X 11. Are we going to see this in action in the near future??

Looks good, but the problem with tech demos is that they can put a LOT of work into just one or two rooms in order to show off its capabilities, but actually doing the same level of quality for a proper game is prohibitively expensive, I think.

I'm actually a bit more concerned as to how character models might look in contrast to that kind of setting. Might stick out

amazing if a game can actually look that real the whole way through. also wanna see what people look like.

for a second i thought that baby was made using the engine. i almost crapped my pants at how amazing it was, then realized its definitely just a photo.

Definitely looks promising, as if Final Fantasy could look any better.

hey if they can use the level of graphics used in Advent Children as normal gameplay (not cutscene) graphics, that would be awesome. those graphics are still better than in game graphics in FFXIII even.
