In an interview with Japanese website ITMedia +D Games, Kaz Hirai revealed much information with regards to the future of the PS3, and the guys at Developmag have provided us with an overview of what was said. So what did Hirai have to say about the PS3 well let's take a quick look...

With regards to companies increasingly devleping games for multiple platforms, Hirai said ”When you consider the cost of developing on today’s platforms, I think it’s a logical progression that they’re all thinking of making their games cross-platform.”. But don't think he stopped there, he then said how developers, even if they are making a game multi-platform, utilise the platforms advantages and make it that bit extra special for the particular console ”With the PS3, you’ve got the Sixaxis controller, or you could utilise the extra capacity provided by Blu-ray to add more levels, put on interviews with the developers or have your videos able to play in 1080p. I think it’s really important that we talk with third party developers so that they can have these interesting extras in the PlayStation 3 version”.

Also mentioned in the article is the fact that the Playstation 3 seemingly has less titles available in Japan, and he answers the question as to why.

This guy looks like one of thos bad-ass movie actors I agree with him, the PS3 has a lot to offer, but it's price tag is overshadowing it's features.

You mean a martial artist . I agree with him, though the price tag is just a minor problem, i mean they can lower the price after 60GB is gone. i Think people need to think about long term than short term.
