Over the past few weeks we have seen a varied assortment of games claiming a place in the top ten, and this week it's not much different, with a majority of games having released either this week or last week.

The top seller this time around is Gundam Musou Special for the PS2, selling 150k units. Coming in second is the juggernaut, Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii, selling 67k units. Rounding out the top five are Wii Fit (WII - 64k), Soma Bringer (NDS - 51k) and The Idolm@ster: Live for You! (360 - 44k).

The hardware numbers:
This Week - Last Week: +/-
PSP: 73,706 - 53,373: +20,333
WII: 64,535 - 63,504: +1,031
NDS: 51,922 - 50,151: +1,771
PS3: 13,520 - 14,060: -540
PS2: 10,986 - 9,634: +1,352
360: 2,282 - 2,001: +281

Really nothing spectacular, as we're not close to one of the more important shopping seasons, and won't be for a while.

However, we still have to note games that have been recently released that could use some more attention, and quite certainly, Japan has given them her attention:

Etrian Odyssey II: The Royal Grail for the Nintendo DS. [Neoseeker Profile | Forums | Previous Articles]
Soma Bringer for the Nintendo DS [Wikipedia | Previous Articles]

These two games are seeing promising sales, and clearly not looking like they are one-trick-ponies in that they could have staying power in the top ten. We need to keep an eye out for those unique games and see how they fare.

I have a feeling Lost Odyssey helped boost the 360 sales a bit in Japan. But man, the PSP is dominating.

Not really. Lost Odyssey came out a while ago, and it lasted only one or two weeks in the top fifty, release week included.

I wouldn't worry about PS3 sales, there are a lot of big games coming out in the coming months, sales shouldn't be a problem.

I wouldn't worry about the 360 either, for the same reason as the PS3; lots of great games coming.
