Other categories in the salary survey include production ($78,716), audio ($73,409) arts and animation ($66,594), game design ($63,649) and quality assurance ($39,063).

Game Developer conducted the study in February and March this year, with assistance from research firm Audience Insights. Over 4,860 responses were collected. Salaries under $10,000 and a small number of salaries over $202,500 were excluded to avoid skewing results.
