By May 2009, Ubisoft plans to have another 900 people on staff, saying its unaffected by the current state of the economy. The publisher/developer is seeking 500 individuals for their newly established studios in Singapore, India and China, and will find the remaining 400 in their Canadian, Chinese and Romanian offices. Great news for these economies!

"We've specifically chosen to establish teams in regions where there is a great system of education and therefore a continually refreshing pool of talent," said Elham Mottahed-Asdaghi, communications manager for Ubisoft International Production Studios.

"In our established studios, we were the pioneers in the region but our success has attracted competitors and so the competition for talent is tougher - but we work hard to ensure that we are attracting the best talent."

Ubisoft made a lot of good games. Mostly, the ones I recognize them for is the Tom Clancy games.

At least the video game industry is still going strong.

Too bad there's nothing in the US. I wouldn't mind having a job at a video game company... If I had the skills.

Well there's lots of others based in the US that I'm sure are hiring. Get looking. Persistence will get you everywhere.

After what they pulled with Haze, it's no wonder they're hiring...

I don't see how publishing a game is directly responsible for this.

As much as this would be cool i wouldn't like to work at UbiSoft they have been releasing some very poor games recently... I would be embarassed to say i worked for them... Now if it was Team Soho or Volition then i might have to accept.
