SEGA’s CEO: “There’s a lot of crap coming out for the Wii”

SEGA's CEO Simon Jeffery speaks about the problem of shovelware that has plagued the Nintendo Wii, as well as how he thinks that SEGA will help change the perception of the Wii console.

SEGA’s CEO Simon Jeffery feels your pain, Wii owners. In an interview today, Jeffery flatly stated that “there is a lot of crap coming out for the Wii in general.”

He believes that the market will correct itself with time. “If it’s not a good game, it doesn’t sell,” Jeffery said, adding that the “flood of crap will die down as publishers become more coherent.”

    This is mostly true, but that dosnt meen you can sometimes give this 'shovelware' a try.
    Some of the games are good.

    Blame it on 3rd parties, why is it that when Sony alone have mass 3rd party support it's great but one generation later every 3rd party but Square Enix and Capcom is avoided? I'll tell you why, because these 3rd parties are just shovelling out things they know will sell, sports and movie games, without putting in any effort, if the Playstation wasn't so successful then maybe 3rd parties wouldn't be such money farmers. ESPECIALLY YOU EA!

    I think sega is makeing salot of this "crap". I had never really played one of there games and thought it was good. The last game I got from them was Iron man for the PS3 and it sucked. I was going to get the hulk for the wii but when I found out they made it I said no way. Sega ruined games that would have been good if they let a different 3rd party maker. Take it.

      ...Actually now days you can't see a good game based on a movie, Lego games may be one exception, it's because they sell no matter the gameplay, thus no work is put into them.
