BIG changes are planned for Resistance 2 from the first game, weapon upgrades, new weapons, more lead character emphasis and a whole lot more. And whilst the game is still months away from release, Joystiq have managed to get an interview with Bryan Intihar and a lot of questions about the game have been answered and light has been shed on various parts of the game...

To start things off, could you give us a quick rundown of changes from the first Resistance?
Sure, there's a lot of course -- but in terms of the campaign we've put a lot more emphasis on Nathan Hale and that comes through in the story and how we're presenting the story. In R1, it was much more of a narrative approach with Rachel Parker telling the story, giving it a third-person feel. This time around it's all about Hale.

The great thing about the article is that it basically brings all the pieces of information together so we don't have to go through so many sources. I was looking for a source for the news that co-op would have a different story when I found this.

Sounds good of course, and I will get....

I wonder, I have a normal mode completed, but only partway through hard. I should still be able to carry over the save file, don't you think?

I don't think that they'll be using previous game saves in anyway... R&C will but I doubt R2 will use anything.

Liking all the details. I wish they would show off some more multiplayer modes though. I get the feeling there won't be many new ones.

That is what I was thinking too. Sure, secrecy helps a bit, to garner hype, but the way he pretty much dodged the question leads me to a similar conclusion.

I know of the 60 player squad based multiplayer, which is interesting, if nothing else....
