Don't Be A Genre Snob

Fable II's creator Peter Molyneux stated in a GamesIndustry interview just now he feels Fable II could be a defining title for the Xbox 360, and LittleBigPlanet looks to be the same sort for Sony's system. What do you think?
Peter Molyneux: Nintendo did a brilliant job of doing that at launch with games like Wii Sports and Wii Play - maybe Fable 2 is a defining title. But you are talking to the proud father of this game, so you can't ask me to be tremendously objective.
I think everything I've said about uniqueness, and invention, and bringing people together that haven't played games before - that really applies to LBP. You've never seen anything like it before, and everybody that touches it says it's a unique experience.
If we want to bring people in who haven't played games before, wherever they are in the world and whatever their cultural background, whatever their sex or age, then we've got to think out of the box and start creating stuff which fascinates those people.
I think LBP could be one of those.

Developers have recpect for other developers if they create something really good.
Fable 2, and I'm basing this mostly on Fable 1, will likely be just a regular hack-and-slash with the choice of being good or evil, and the ability to play with friends online.
Whereas, LBP is much more original.
There are already loads of games like Fable 2. That's not to say Fable 2 will be a bad game, because I think it will probably be absolutely amazing. I'm just saying that LBP will be much more ground-breaking, in my opinion.
I really hope Fable 2 is amazing, though. I think I'm more excited for that. but I'll definitely try to pick up LBP, because I'm sure the fun will be endless with that game.
Don't take that the wrong way, your opinions are 100% valid. I'm just saying it's almost like a paradox *thinks of MGS time paradoxes*
The reason for that is that I think Fable 2 will be much more my kind of game than LBP.
LBP, while it looks very great and original, I'm just not sure I'd like it as much as Fable 2 because I'm more into action-oriented games.
But yeah, it is a little funny
