Well, we were in the process of interviewing one person, Brett Ratner happened to be there, so we ask him: Whatcha working on... His response shocked us to our very core.

You read the headline correctly, folks; the director of the indie-darlings Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, and After the Sunset is officially attached to the film adaptation of videogame mega-hit, God of War. Hopefully, Ratner can convince David Jaffe, Sony hit maker and blog writing provocateur, to pen the script.

Oh eewww, rush hour. I hope he doesn't have kratos make unfunny spartan jokes.

Anyways, They have to have the black guy from dead diamond to play kratos, he is just the perfect role.

I am not a lover of Brett Ratner... so... um, yeah... this will be interesting.

      My pick for Kratos: http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/Previews/Dominic-Purcell-pb01.jpg

Dominic Purcell was created for this role... but I am not sure in a Brett Ratner film.

Dominic purcell fits the the physical role and I can see him as kratos. But I don't think he can fit that angrey and always pissed personality. Plus from his voice in prison break, doesn't fit to well.

This is the guy i was talking about:

Except that 1) Kratos is white, and 2) the red face and body paint would not show up well on his skin.

Oh snap... that may piss off God of War fanboys though. We all saw what happened when Kingpin became black in Daredevil... even though Michael Clark Duncan rocks!

I'm pretty sure he's black or has some seriously dark toned skin.

You hate Rush Hour? It's one of the better Action/Comedy film series around. 2 being the best, of course.

Ratner, eh? Hope he can make the movie serious and gruesome. This better get at least an R rating.

Kratos in the game is ghostly white. He has a ashy look to him. So either way, even if they did get a white guy, they would have to give him a ashy white tone. And wasn't kratos before he turned ashy white a very dark tan?

I just don't know if they would take a gamble trying to make a black man look white.

he doesn't mean it like that ,dummy.

Djmoun can easily play Kratos, just put white paint on him, like they did to Heath when he played joker and bam, you got Kratos.

Im sorry, but hells no. The only one I'll ever accept playing Kratos is the actor who does the voice over in the game, which is TC Carson. Anything sort of that is a disaster of a movie. I've grown to like the Kratos voice from the games. You know right now im very skeptical and If they don't keep the same cast as they did with the games, Im going to say its going to be a bomb(bad) of a movie...personally.

Have you seen the guy? he looks barely anything like kratos. And again, kratos is ghost white, so putting ghost white on a white guy would look the same as putting ghost white on a black guy. So you might as well get one that can act the angry part.

        Final Blade Oct 3, 08
Yes cause for some reason I don't know the people who voice the players in the game.

Again anyone other then TC Carson is a horrific idea. Hell just the thought of this movie about God of War is a shit idea. Even David Jaffe said so.

LPF, Kratos is originally black. It's not until he kills his family that he is cursed with their ashes and their blood (Thus the ghost white skin and the red slash).

Part of me is happy that this movie is being made, as it's going to give more mainstream exposure to what is undoubtedly one of the finest action-gaming series of all-time. Criminally underrated by the average gamer.

Yet on the other hand, movies made about videogames? Let's see if the trend can ever be broken.
