PSN to SEN: Time to rage quit? - DarkFeed

Mother 3 (aka Earthbound 2) is yet another example of a great foreign title (specifically another great Japanese game) that never saw a US release or translation. Long sought after as one of the holy grail of games, Reid Young (as has been reported here) has just completed a (superb, I can honestly say being fluent myself) translation of Mother 3 and sits down to talk with us a little about the effort.
Today, 13 years after EarthBound hit the SNES, Fan Translation has released the English Patch for MOTHER 3, or Earthbound 2 in the States. To help us celebrate we asked Reid Young, co-founder of Starmen.Net and MOTHER 3 English Patch PR-Guru to answer a few questions. He galdly obliged and shared a few pics, scattered across this interview, off the translation process.

I will say this... Reid Young just put himself on the map in a big way. Sure this was a fan project, but I can see him getting offers to do localizations from Square, Nintendo and countless other Japanese companies. Heck, the guys behind LittleBigPlanet got their names on the map for making an overlooked but great game on the PC (distributed via steam) called Rag Doll Kung Fu (spiritual successor in a way to LBP)...
Kudos to Reid, Nintendo and Square.
And you guys rawk for remembering the scratch 'n sniff feelies which came with Earthbound!
I think you meant predecessor.
