In an interview with a Kotaku, Aaron Greenberg the group product manager for the XBOX360 has said "It feels like 2005 tech in 2008. I'm not sure thatÂ’s what people want" in regards to Playstation Home, and I'd hate to admit it, but being a PS3 gamer, I agree... I haven't gone onto Home for longer than a few minutes...
Microsoft may not be looking at further price cuts for their console as the country tip-toes through this recession, but they're looking at ways to make their console attractive to thrift-minded families.

Real bitchin' ...
Haven't played HOME yet though.
Also in the article, he mentions no price drop for Live in any near future while they have the PC version free.
Were avatars in development for years btw? Are they representing something larger than Home is for the PS3 that they're even comparable? They're supposed to just be a cutesy little thing to be yourself. Obviously if they wanted them to look realistic, they would have done it. Home's a little larger scale than avatars. Sorry.
lol "Sony livin rough on the streets". Eatin out of tin cans, man. Shit you rarely see a Sony product anywhere. They're just this small company.
ya home is old we've seen it before in a console... oh wait!! i was thinking about Mii's my mistake
Just saying.
Kudos to Sony for taking the leap and the risk; trying Home out and investing a lot of time and money into it. They could have easily just made some avatars like Microsoft and Nintendo, which im not knocking btw, they have their merits. But Sony is going beyond that. They are testing both the limits of their online infastructure and gaming society by providing such a service. Its not made for everyone. Me? Couldn't care less. I'd rather play games. But there are those who wish for such a rich structure within their PS3 system. And Sony are acting accordingly.
motion capabilites were copied off the Wii.
Everyone stole rumble from Nintendo.
Home = Better Graphics Sims.
PS3&360 Controller = SNES Controller.
Nintendo seems like the only ones who make things new really, in all honesty.
and plus, how would a guy from M$ know too much about home? i hate it when people like him go out in public...its lish having a George Bush everywhere.
In fact Why the hell is PS3 listed? It's the same freaking controller scheme since PS1, the only thing different is an optional motion sensor, new L2/R2 triggers and rumble, although that was in the PS2. Seriously your post is laughable.
@DystopiaSticker - What's wrong with companies copying others features, and make them their own type? Nothing is original, I've said this before. And truth be told, this is what drives competition. Without companies copying things from others and making them look and appeal to their product business's will fall.
While I still think Trophies are more of a side dish to the main meal(game) I have grown a keen better interest with them. And I just like the idea of trophy's over achievements. I don't care about numbers(unless this was Battlefield Bad Company online), but to actually get a metal of sorts is kinda cool.
From those two statements you've come to the conclusion I'M the one thinking it's "wrong".
Weird.
Your post just sounded like you was bashing Sony for copying achievement system, comparing Home to SL even though anyone intelligent can figure out its nothing alike, home button on the controller even though 360 actually copied it from PSP since that had it first, and the motion capability which Sony actually had plans before Nintendo to integrate as Zero pointed out.
That's how it appeared to me, and why I addressed it. Nothing is ever original, even LBP has features of something else. Devs, companies take things from other consoles or games and integrate it into theirs and make it its own. It was drives competition.
@pooOBKp - Nothing drives me hot or heavy for the PS3. I just find more enjoyment and fits my taste for gaming atm. Not to say 360 doesn't appeal, I see a few games I would love to try, i'm just being realistic here as I always am.
I'm curious, why do you always have to reply to my comments with something either flaming or unnecessary? Not trying to be rude or anything, but I've seen it many times.
Makes me wish companies did press releases following every innovation, where the rep just goes, "FIRST!"
