Sony: Why Xbox Owners should care about Playstation Home

In a recent interview, director of Home programming, Jack Buser, recently revealed his reasons as to why he believes Xbox owners should care about Playstation Home.

During the interview, speaking about Playstation Home, the director of Home programming said:

Playstation home makes online gaming a lot more like what multiplayer gaming used to be; it will fundamentally change the way people play games or think about games. A friend's list in the past was a list of people you met in the real world or in the context of a particular game, what Playstation Home aims to do is abstract this out so that the friend's list has meaning. That's the core value of Home.

    Home has taken so long to come out because the developers had to delay Home after breaking their ankles from tripping over the skeletons of the people waiting for Home to come out.

        And releasing it too early with so much bugs also hurts the online feature and the longevity. We already see the hordes of whinny members and people complaining that beta has made some issues, and hating Sony, imagine what it would be like had this actually been released last year not fully integrated. The beta now is probably loads better then what it was last year.

        Darknet that's entirely untrue.
        And AR, no offense but that's a very ignorant view on Home. Home isn't like Second Life, no matter what people say or fanboys. This will probably spark something huge for Sony, whether anyone wants to believe it or not. And could compete with online services. To be honest, I think Home right now is awesome then Live. Only cause these features appeal far much more then XBL. The whole concept is just brilliant, and I can see where Sony is coming from with the idea of this.

    Home is indeed very impressive, i played it last night at my friends and it was very interesting. Just downloaded it myself this morning and im very impressed.

    Thumbs up to Sony for finally releasing! (even if it is only the open beta haha).

    Yeah, well done for finally releasing Home, Sony! It IS very impressive, and i've already spoke to some guy that has been added to my friends list. I think Microsoft will just try and ignore it, personally. Either that, or steal the idea and claim it as origianl.

        I wouldn't say they keep disconnecting. It's more a problem with connecting in the first place.
