Stig Asmussen, a dev working on GOW3 has spoken out about EA's new game Dante's Inferno. He hopes that the game is a threat to God Of War 3 because he wants to see more great games of the same genre. He also said that Ex members that worked on previous God Of War games are currently working on Dante's Inferno and he hopes they build a great from great literature.

What's your opinion on what you've seen of Dante's Inferno so far? Is it a threat to Kratos?

Stig Asmussen: Outside of a few previews and a high-res trailer, I haven't really seen much of the game. So far though, the impressions from the press sound really good.

Some of the guys who used to work on GOW are working on Dante's. Really good guys. I hope they make a fantastic game that serves as good competition for us. I think using Dante's Inferno as a theme could really cook into something special - it is a very rich world to draw from.

As far as a threat to Kratos goes, I hope so. We need more great games in this genre!

Sorry, Kratos will always be the supreme badass of video games.

Though I'm hoping that DI will be as good as the GoW series.

Honestly, I highly doubt that Dante's Inferno will be anywhere nearly as good as God of War III, much less do I think it will be better.

Really, nothing else really needs to be said. Competition? Really hard to go against the concept of fighting Greek deities in their prime. (with awesome gameplay/puzzles all around)

I really don't care if its like GoW, I'm just getting this game because I love the story. Read it about 6 times so I'm well aware of what to expect. And I am expecting a lot. I hope its a well balanced fighting/puzzle orientated game and they don't go over the top with it.
