The Japanese gaming magazine, Gemaga, has released a feature on the 10th Anniversary of FFVII in their July issue, which includes an interview with the creators of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core.
Tabata: Up until now it wasn't possible to really depict Sephiroth as a more human character. In order to help Angeal he will have to take actions to deceive Shinra to ensure that Shinra commands fall through, and this leads into an unintentional give and take with Zack. Thus Sephiroth's true self will be a big highlight.
The voice acting has been improved again. While the seiyuu have been bringing Aerith, Zack, and Sephiroth to life from the outset, they've had to spend time under a lot of scrutiny from Nomura regarding their vocal direction. This is because they were aiming for younger-sounding voices than those in AC.
Loveless is a link to FF7. On the Planet Loveless is an fictional story and epic poem, and the themes within will influence CC's story line. In truth Loveless doesn't have a final chapter, thus what happens in the end is unknown, and thus everyone creates their own meaning and Genesis is seeking his own. It turns out that this will be concerned with the fate of SOLDIER.
-- The SE Party Trailer was really amazing. Alot of people were crying.
Tabata: Just because the end is known, we were particular about showing within the time of Zack's life what an energetic person he was. The result of this you feel a great deal of empathy for him.
-- We're looking forward to 9/13.
Imaizumi: It'll be 2 years after AC on the day before that release. We wanted to push for the same date, since it's after consecutive holidays, and then you can play throughly, but we went with the common Thrusday release date.
-- About the development process?
Tabata: Doing well. Time permitting, we'd like to work on increasing the quality.
Imaizumi: We know that we've kept the gamers waiting, but since Tabata has asked for these slight adjustments the quality increased by leaps and bound, even when unfinished, and it was decided that these brush ups would make it better in the end for the gamers.
-- About the special PSP packaging edition?
Tabata: We have to save that for later. But prepare to be surprised.

Shisune is a female character who is a excellent young Turk, the BC Throwing Star character.
Gackt is able to perform with many voice patterns, and we thought it should be the same with the character he plays. We invested a lot of time in making the part very good. At the begining he even managed to surprise himself.
Tabata: I'm really hoping for a remake myself, so I'll push Nomura and Kitase to do it (Laughs)
-- Is CC going to be the final chapter in the Compilation? It seems to have been a hot topic on the net that this compilation may still have more to come?
Kitase: Amongst us, we haven't decided about ending it.
Nomura: And CC won't decide if we will end it. As for what I think I'm going to keep it to myself.
-- The voices of those longing for an FF7 Remake are really loud, what do think about it?
Nomura: Overseas they ask "Are you working on an FF7 Remake right now?" but that comes from nothing but rumors, I'm sorry to say it but we're not working on it.
Kitase: But the staff who're working on FF13 ask, "Why hasn't the company started on it?," also many people say "I'm a FF7 Fan so I'd like to work on 7."
Nomura: We know that it's natural for all of the fans and us to remain hopeful, and we're continuing to think about various options. As long as there are people who say "I want to make it" or people who say "I will wait for it," we won't say that "It's over"
