Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
12 hours 4 mins ago
IGN has posted a Q&A article with answers from Insomniac Games Creative Director Brian Allgeie on their website along with a couple high res screenshots - which look beautiful might I add. The screenshots show off some nice shading effects as well as Ratchet and General Allister Azimuth's awesome new fur. All in all the Q&A is an interesting (and funny) read. More to come at E3, too.
IGN: What exactly is going on when A Crack in Time begins? How much time has passed since Quest for Booty?
Brian Allgeier: Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time begins where the last game, Quest for Booty, left off... After finding using a device called the Obsidian Eye in Quest for Booty, Ratchet and Captain Qwark have isolated the region of the galaxy that Clank is being held. The game begins with Ratchet and Qwark on a journey to rescue Clank.
IGN: What returning characters -- outside of Ratchet, Clank and Qwark -- can we expect to see in A Crack in Time?
Brian Allgeier: We're excited about the return of Dr. Nefarious and Lawrence. Nefarious is unanimously our favorite Ratchet & Clank villain, and we're pumped to bring him and his loyal butler back for another round. As far as other characters, there will be at least one other familiar character who shows up, but we'll leave that for you to discover.
IGN: Will we be able to play with Clank since he's missing? Or is the game focused on finding him?
Brian Allgeier: We don't want to give too much away, but Ratchet is still searching for Clank. That said, players will get to see what Clank is up to while Ratchet is trying to rescue him.
IGN: You guys always have puns in the titles of your Ratchet games - what were some alternatives for this or other Ratchet games that almost made it?
Brian Allgeier: For every game we make, we ask the Insomniacs to submit ideas for the name of the game. When we open those floodgates, we get a whole spectrum of ideas ranging from the serious to the absurd. Some of the more funny ideas were "Going Ballistic", "Family Jewels," and even "Who's Your Daddy?" There are some other ideas that I'll never share, due to the fact that they are too risqué!

Not that I'm begging for co-op, because Ratchet games seem good with just one player. But you know how people are always wanting co-op and multiplayer in their games, so I'm just wondering if this will end up happening for this one too. . .
