It sounds to me like it will be a new mythical sword we are not familiar with... or at least that is what I am hoping for.

Nah its gangster link, wielding the mythical gun of awesomeness.

He drives around in his car with his homies, blasting ganondorf with magical bullets.

Not using a sword at all? What the *bleep*ing hell?! Every Legend of Zelda game in the history of gaming has featured Link with a sword. I really hope they are joking.

wait so thats the pic nintendo showed??

WTF link looks exactly the same, how does he look any older?

Damn IGN you sure can exagerate.
And please a link game without a sword??

Here's a thought (and nintendo did this before so not really new), that girl has the power to turn into a sword and be used by link.

......... no sword? You mean, I can't slash anything? Like We've been doing since the *bleep*ing NES!? Are you serious Nintendo!? NO! I can take change, I can understand the need to something different, but there are some things that need to stay and Link's sword is one of them! I don't care if the game doesn't have a Master Sword anymore as long as I get to have SOME sword!

Please tell me they shoot down this moronic idea during development, PLEASE! Link without his sword is like restraining Mario from jumping, it's just not right!

Ugh, and I thought I could be hopeful after seeing Other M and Galaxy 2....

when was it stated that he wasn't going to use a sword?

He said "If you noticed Link doesn't have a sword in his hand"

That could mean a number of things, maybe the girl transforms into a sword, maybe the master sword gets broken and he has to fix it.
Or maybe he just hasn't found it yet like in ALL Zelda games.

Theres a number of things that could happen, IGN is just over exagerating like when they said link is "much older" this time around.

It was never stated that Link would go without a sword.

"and that Link might not even be using a sword at all!"

Says so right there that it's a possibility, and that's a possibility I don't want there to be, that's all I am saying, I probably over-reacted, but I just don't want that possibility to become reality since Link has always used his sword.

          what? Miyamoto never said that.

In fact I found that no where on the actual interview thats something Reliant K said, not Miyamoto.

When Miyamoto say's it, then I'll be worried.

Ugh, gamegrep article writers shouldn't make shit up just to get us to read.

I don't mind if your theory is true about the girl transforming into a sword though, that could be kinda neat.

Don't forget. Miyamoto is probably one of Nintendo's remaining genuises. This game WILL be a master piece. I feel that twighlight princess was just a test to see if the real new zelda controlls would be successful.

Of course this game WILL be a masterpiece.

If it's made by Miyamoto its ALWAYS a masterpiece.

Then again, how will he ever top Wii music

        WolfFang Jun 27, 09
Yeah. finnally a believer. Wii music was good. It let's me enjoy playing my favorite music. sales don't decide if it's fail or not.

But I think Miyamoto can make it better than Wii music.
