That...really didn't reveal all that much. We all pretty much assumed that the eagle-dog would play into gameplay, so this isn't really all that revealing.

And considering the game is likely still in its infancy, we won't really know all that much about it for another year or so.

      What?

The game already has a 2010 release date. It's just that we don't know when exactly that's all.

I think we actually learnt some interesting stuff from that. Focus on wind physics, basic intellect for the beast, no load screens.

I think they seemed to be focusing a little too much on the wrong things, though. Nice feather and barrel-crunching physics and varying reactions to where you touch the creature are nice and all, but gameplay is what I'm concerned with, and so far they haven't said much at all.

But they're frakking Team ICO; TLG will be epic.

Thing is, it is all gameplay. When it comes to Team ICO reactions and physics are all part of the gameplay and not a graphical element. They are all used to convey the emotion in the scene, perhaps gameplay to me means a different thing as i do not just cover the control system when i govern what gameplay is, i cover everything based on what the developer is hoping to achieve. To me everything they unveiled in that was all about gameplay as it is there to heighten a sense of atmosphere.
