Don't Be A Genre Snob

Depending on how you look at it, this could be good news or bad news. A new producer might be taking charge of the next Resident Evil game in the series (presumably RE6), so if you haven't been too pleased with the direction the series is heading in, this may be a turning point.
Speaking at Comic Con in San Diego Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi revealed that it is still unclear what direction the franchise is going in the future or who will be the one to steer it there.
Doesn’t sound overly positive to us, but Takeuchi also said that he believes this third person is the most likely person to take the series forward. “It doesn’t appear as though either of us [himself or Kawata] is going to be in charge,” he said. The question then is who is the likely candidate? Many of Resident Evil’s old guard no longer works for Capcom.

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro are clear examples of that.
So now they've gone from Survival Horror, to Action Horror, to Action, I wonder what they'll do next?
That's what we all want, right?
Different- distinct: separate or distinct from another or others
Learn it Capcom.
I didn't mind the new direction tbh, but I've never much been into RE so of course I wouldn't. I do, however, feel bad for the fans and everyone who played RE4 and got pretty much the same thing with a few scenes from Indiana Jones thrown in.
I remember in interviews and whatnot around RE5's release that they said they were going to take RE6 to the survival horror roots of the originals so I don't know what this means for that... should be interesting.
