The Producer of Punch-Out tells Official Nintendo Magazine that he would love to make a sequel to the game and gives them a few ideas he had and pretty much completely dropped the bomb saying things like "Once the game has a big enough fanbase and "The sequel would be our opportunity" pretty much just confirms it(Kind of).

In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, producer Ken Yeeloy said "I would love to make a sequel. I think with this first product, we wanted to make sure there was a definite, undeniable connection to the original. The sequel would be our opportunity to evolve the franchise further and add some cool, new things."
