Although being extremely popular in shooter games lately, the undead won't be included in upcoming Modern Warfare 2 game, according to Infinity Ward's lead multiplayer designer Todd Alderman.

Oh and dual wielding Desert Eagles and throwing knives is their 'bag'. Dual wielding Desert Eagles is just about as unrealistic as a *bleep*ing Ray Gun! I know Zombies may not be for you Infinity Ward, but don't play the realism card and then show off so much that is unreal in trailers and game info. I don't see the problem if it's beyond the story and not a part of it why not have Zombie mini games, Ray Guns and other fun stuff. It doesn't degrade from the game at all. I think it's merely a case of Infinity Ward not willing to take a good feature because Treyarch thought of it and not them.

Definitely. I would imagine you need wrists of goddamn steel to be able to shoot two Desert Eagles at once, let alone accurately.

The way he's saying it, I would almost put money on seeing it as Downloadable Content about two months after release. Firefight mode seems to be all the rage these days, and the zombie idea on WoW looked great.

maybe they aren't 50 caliber Desert Eagles. Oh, who am I kidding? That's the only type they'd ever add in.

Oh look, more gamers pretending to know about guns because they've used them digitally.

Duel wielding Desert Eagles is pretty unrealistic, only because it's damn near pointless. It's far from a physical impossibility. Especially for guys who train as much as special forces do.

As for why they wouldn't put them in, probably because it was sort of slapped onto World at War which pretty much goes against everything Infinity Ward want's to do.

So you insult people, and then agree with them?

          Bravo captain. Bravo.

I'm a douchebag for getting annoyed with this? Wonderful... I would have thought that calling out developers who actually research things would be worse...but whatever, thanks for setting me right Bandito.

I personally hated the Zombie parts of World at war. It was really boring and didn't really add anything to the game, imo. I played online instead. Though, to be honest, I quit playing it pretty quickly and went back to CoD4, but still.

If you ever played the Zombie mode online with a group of players that knew what they were doing, it got VERY challenging. I had some really fun times playing it with my friends. You have to be pretty strategic with it.

If you play it by yourself it does get very boring fast.

I just didn't like the concept, but to each his own of course.

It was a rushed concept and it seemed like buzz to get it some attention as yet another WW2 shooter (2 in a row now Treyarch?) given that it was going against Left 4 Dead last year. Personally I'd rather see a solid game that doesn't need spin to make people want to get it.

What's so bad with WW2 man. Everyone moans about it but the genre is awesome and clearly, as example with Inglorious basterds and other media. WW2 is still a great genre to create a story.

People only moan about WW2 to make themseleves look cool or refined or some bull shit

"Oh I ONLY play modern games nowadays, World war 2 is beneath me now" *pout*
"I am too hardcore and awesome to waste time with world war 2, I only take Modern warfare"
Its a *bleep*ing retarded logic tbh.

Treyarch is making two modern games in a row aren't they? Modern warfare isnt new, their around 3 years behind the competition. We had modern warfare games back with the PS2.

I'm pretty sure people complain because the concept is old now and (spoiler alert) there isn't much mystery to the end result.

Really, World War 2 is just a fall-back for game designers when they can't think up a unique scenario and weaponry of their own.

          Cod 4 wasn't really unique.

War in middle east, Russian guy has some nukes, go disable them.

          So unique....

I don't recall ever saying that CoD4 was unique.

CoD4 wasn't unique, but they did a lot of things right. And they introduced several things that made gameplay more fun, both offline and online.

That's not the point I was getting at. I was getting at that people label a game as shit and downgrade it because is based in WW2.

    Damn!

Well, this is either one of two things.

    1) They are serious. This is the most realistic, but also the most disappointing. World At War gave me so many hours of fun with Nazi Zombies that I couldn't even begin to describe the awesomeness of it. Obviously it's not fun for those who don't enjoy trying to beat their personal best, but I like that. It kept me going back for more.

    2) They're lying to kill hype. Not exactly realistic, but they could be doing this to downplay all the speculation. I can only wish.

But, as it stands, I'll believe them for now. So, while I'm playing Modern Warfare 2, I will also be playing World At War: Nazi Zombies.
