In a recent interview with blackfilm.com, actor Bodjoe Kodjoe discussed Resident Evil: Afterlife - what his role in the movie wwill be, the basic plot of the movie, and who will be returning this time around...

What’s your role in “Resident Evil”?

Boris Kodjoe: I play the leader of the survivors in LA. Milla Jovovich’s character, Alice, is roaming the world looking for survivors and she’s wound up in LA, which has been burning for three years. She comes across an LA jail surrounded be these half-dead, uhh...

Zombies?

Boris Kodjoe: Yeah, they’re those monsters, what are they called? Anyway, she comes across the jail and there’s a couple of survivors and she lands on top of the roof and partners up with me to fight the guys that are coming after them. We’re trying to get all of the survivors out of the jail to safety. We’re starting next week, actually.

    Sounds like Mad Max with Zombies. Not sure how I feel about that, other than deeply suspicious and sceptical.

    . . . Interesting. I've watched all the movies in the series (never played the games), but honestly I can't actually "Follow" the movies. I seem to always view them as individual movies and that's it.

    This has my slight interest, only because I've seen the others though.

    It's my understanding that the more an actor is involved in and cares for the production, the better the end product. But I'm not trying to imply anything.

    Throw it all out and start over. That's what they did for Batman. I do not like the direction Paul Anderson took Resident Evil. Granted, I still watched the movies once they came out on DVD. Looks like i'll be doing the same with this one. yuck

    Meh. They're entertaining to watch, just as long as I don't try and compare them to actual RE games. Well, maybe RE5, but that was a sorry excuse for a RE game.

    When asked about the 'franchase' i think they where indicating towards the games.

    And what happened to the hundred of other Alices?

    Only my autistic auntie would love this plot. (This is actually true she is a big fan of the movies and any slander or rude remark against her will be met with severe rage)
