Bayonetta Creator: "I'm not gay and Itagaki is an idiot"

If you are unfamiliar with the feud between Kamiya (Bayonetta, DMC) and Itagaki (Ninja Gaiden), they hate each other. They have also insulted each others games before. Kamiya did an interview with recently and said

"I'm bald, but I'm not gay" (no one was pointing any fingers, dude).
He also got very outspoken about Itagaki, calling him an idiot for thinking big breast is erotic.

M'kay... We're not sure why it matters how much hair covers his head and where he dips his candlestick, but Bayonetta designer Hideki Kamiya brought his hairless noggin and heterosexuality into a recent interview — among other things.

"I am bald, but I am not gay."

Thanks for sharing? Perhaps Kamiya was making some off-handed remark or whatever — he did say he was "sleepy". Unfortunately, Kotaku only has a summary of Kamiya's comments that has been floating around the Japanese internet and thus don't know the full context, which could better explain his statement.

Some on the Japanese internet point out that Kamiya also seems to be revisiting his feud with former Team Ninja lead Ninja Tomonobu Itagaki. "It's a huge mistake to think like an idiot that big breasts on women seem erotic." Itagaki is known for his chesty characters in games like Dead or Alive.

    "It's a huge mistake to think like an idiot that big breasts on women seem erotic." says the guy who created a game based solely around sex appeal and a woman who gets more naked as she fights.

    I usually HATE when the devs attack each other. I mean I love devs like Insomniac and Naughty Dog who are pretty cool with each other and even give out code to help other devs with their work!

    But honestly when I read there was a fued between the two . . . I kinda had to laugh and smile!

    it's a huge mistake to think like an idiot that takes sentences in isolation and removes them from context.

    and anyway at least Bayonetta is tasteful.

          hahaha. you know what's great about internet? 13 years olds calling developers names, kids saying they're more socially aware than a 23 years old guy.

          did you seriously believe I would start explaining exactly why I think this game is tasteful? I won't do that. 14 years olds are too young for stuff like this and grown up canting hypocrites are hopeless.. to each their own, you know.

          You know what's even more funny? Someone trying to act mature and act like he's ending an argument, all self-righteous like, and then coming back and continuing at the slightest provocation. I seriously pity whatever world you live in if 23 year olds act like you, but you see any and all entertainment value is gone now, so please feel free to call me whatever you want.           yeah, good job not even slightly understanding my post and the tone I was writing in. also, speaking of funny things, I think it's worth noting that no matter how many times you've said you hate this game almost every single Bayonetta article has several (sometimes up to 10) comments by you. easy there, don't overheat, buddy.
