Analyst Michael Pachter is excited about the upcoming release of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He said that it is the "first game that I’ve seen on any Nintendo system that’s complete throwback that I can play with my kids" and that it's sales are guaranteed to "shock".

“So yeah the bored housewife bought WiiFit to get in shape and do yoga [but] this is the first game that I’ve seen on any Nintendo system that’s complete throwback that I can play with my kids. As a NintenDad, I’m psyched to play this game.”

Pachter notes that the attach rate doesn’t need to be big at all considering there are 60 million Wiis out there and, while not dishing out an exact number, predicts, “It’s gonna shock you how many units that thing sells.”

Little does NintenDad know, his kids are hardcore Xbox 360 or PS3 fans and prefer titles like Halo or Killzone 2. When they play with him, they play only cause they pity him.

His kids are probably under 10 if Super Mario Bros. is the only game he feels he can play with them.

I have little brothers under 10. They prefer to play most of my PS3 games like Grand Theft Auto IV, Resistance 2, and the like over the Wii. Thing is, I don't let them play them cause I know better. I let them give it a try a long time ago so it could feed their small curiosities, but after that no.

Ha, I've heard all kinds of words from these guys. "Boom", "Soar" and now "Shock" by the sale prices. They sure are confident. :S

I would be too if I had just created a fantastic game with Nintendo's gaming icon in it.

this game does look fun. but only if you are playing with experienced gamers. i dont wanna play with ppl who suck because they will inadvertently screw me up.

also, i hope Nintendo fixed the growing-freeze problem, as that will totally screw things up.

This game is going to be awesome even if you play it alone from time to time. I think Nintendo may just nick the holiday season again this year.
