The classic Need for Speed series had, in recent years, waned in quality; what once was the king of arcade racers had lost the magic and become somewhat stale. EA is pleased to say that's all changed now though, in keeping with their shift in policy.
Having played the SHIFT demo, it's hard to disagree. Anyone tried Nitro?
In an exclusive interview with MCV, EA Europe’s senior VP Jens Uwe Intat has stated that after a troubled few years the Need for Speed IP is back on track.
"We’re really turning the corner in terms of product quality," the exec told MCV.
"It’s back on track after years of deterioration and we’re getting Need For Speed back into the space where it belongs as a renowned driving experience."
