Final Fantasy producer, Yoshinori Kitase, and designer, Motomu Toriyama, spoke in London on the highly anticipated FFXIII. One question came up about the possible release of FFXIII in stereoscopic 3D, which lead to the answer.. "we are interested in it."

Resident Evil 5 has already taken advantage of new 3D technologies with its PC version. If done right, something as graphically pleasing as FFXIII would be really nice in 3D. Though, it would most likely be re-released as a special 3D edition. I would buy it.. again.

We don't know how possible it is to build the game in 3D but we are interested in it. In fact, we have already created a 3D Final Fantasy XIII trailer, which is currently showing in Japanese cinemas alongside the film Avatar.

Currently, that's only available in Japan, but there might be an opportunity for a wider release in the future.
