COD doesn't represent gaming as a whole, why can't most journalist grasp this. It was enough when games were getting points docked off for not controling similiary to COD (OMG WTF no sprint!!!) and now because most of the fanbase of the franchise doesn't touch the SP campaign all games will be getting multiplayer?

Still, this is just another obvious statement by a horrible analyst. You could say that this is already true of the gaming industry. Most games, especially the big games, have multiplayer already. This statement by Pachter is equivalent to me saying the ocean is going to be wet tomorrow and calling myself a ocean expert.

i really doubt that ALL games will be multiplayer, or at least not offer a single player at all. more and more games will no doubt offer MP features or options but its never gonna happen where every single game can only be played MP. most games should include a drop-in/out MP feature since that usually works really well and everyone likes it. the Left 4 Dead kind where the CPU controls any character not being played by a human, and you can "take a break" temporarily to let the CPU play for you when you go AFK.
