A coder has released some custom drivers for Windows computers which will allow PS3 gamers to use their DualShock 3 with PC games, SIXAXIS, rumble and all.

      Why not? For Sony its beneficial. Xbox controllers are already compatible with windows, and I doubt they would really be bothered.

    It's extremely beneficial for Sony. They don't have to pay for anything, no licensing, no nothing - they are not held responsible for breaches of patents, etc.

    Coder community for the win. Unfortunately, they still have to make up for destroying the PSP's potential with custom firmware and such (guilty), so Sony's not going to want to hug any random coder anytime soon.

    Trust me, Sony'll be pissed. Remember when Lik-Sang was selling foreign PSPs to the UK because of the super long wait to release them in the PAL region? Look what happened to them.

        Exactly. Sony could "potentially" make a PS3 controller for Windows just like Microsoft did for their controller.
