An application called PSPdisp allows one to use their PlayStation Portable as a secondary display with their computer; it offers a 960x544 resolution. Pretty cool, huh?

Sorry you can't right now with a 3000, as with most of the awesome things that can be done with a PSP, it requires custom firmware.
Some people have been able to play some very simple homebrew games on the PSP 3000 using the Gripshift exploit, but it may still be awhile before custom firmware can be installed on a 3000.
