That's amazing. I'm becoming really interested in getting the pc version for this game despite already owning the 360 version.

Then again I can wait and Valve is always making great deals.

Just play Left 4 Dead, it's miles better anyway. What a complete and utter waste of effort.

Left 4 Dead is better than the second?

Yup, if your a complete idiot. L4D2 is far superior to the first, since i've played the second game i've come to realise that and have not played the first game since.

I think both are amazing in their own way. But without a doubt, L4D2 has improved greatly compared to the first game. The features such as the melee weapons, new special infected, various ammo types, etc., really make the game much more diverse and give it some more depth.

The characters in L4D2 aren't nearly as interesting as the first, imo, and I'm rather borderline on the levels, but overall, again, L4D2 brings it's A game. If you check out the Developer Commentary, you'll know what I mean...the detail they put in is stunning.

Why not just perfect the mod and you can have both l4d1 and 2 all upgraded and shit.

I actually like Ellis and Coach more than Francis and Zoey. Some people like both sets of characters and both levels from both games.

And the only way L4D is "better" than L4D2 is if you prefer the characters and level design, that's it.

Yeah, that seems, fair, wait for the finished product of this mod. Valve's upcoming DLC for L4D2 also sounds promising, where the survivors meet.

How? There isn't a single area that L4D one is superior to L4D2 (except maybe the characters, but that comes down to personal preference).

L4D2 makes L4D feel like Beta.

I think it's fair to say both games are absolutely awesome. But with this mod I must say the first seems a bit obsolete.

@Guugley: Out of curiosity why do you say the first is better?

I've stated my reasons in the forums on Neoseeker. Admittedly their are aspects of L4D2 which are far superior to Left 4 Dead's, but very few. I've played both (Albeit only a short while on L4D2) but L4D is just so much better.

I don't mind people going over to L4D2 and I don't mind that people think L4D is easy or not as good, but this is just such a waste of a mod imo.

care to give a link to the thread? Im really curious to read more about this.

On the plus side, if people missed the original L4D this gives them the opportunity to at least somewhat try it

Like I said the only thing the first has over the second is preference of the characters and level design. But none of those make it better than the sequel, those are just personal preferences which is now being made for the sequel.

The sequel is just better in every way.

It's way better now that we can have the original L4D in it. They've done an amazing job on it, can't wait when their done.

Okay, so very briefly, my dislikes:

    - Movement.
    - Characters.
    - Maps.
    - S.I.
    - Graphics/Interface or whatever you want to refer to it as.
    - Music.

And so-on. Your point of L4D being in L4D2 rendering the first one useless is wrong. There have been countless 'remakes' of old classical games and people are like "WOW THIS SUCKS WHY NOT JUST GET A SNES AND PLAY IT ON THAT?!" and they're right, it's not the same as the original. That applies to L4D.
