Half-Life 2 – A FPS / RTS Mod

Half-Life 2 has a new mod: Empires. It proposes a brand new gameplay: a mix of FPS and RTS. You can build a base and create different building which creates vehicles. Strategy has never been that real in Half-Life 2.

Half-Life 2 is in fashion these days and we discover new mods every week. This is, without a doubt, one of the best FPS ever.

This new mod is entitled Empires, it is developed by ScardyBob and is now available for downloading. Empires is a mix of FPS and RTS gameplays: you can choose one of the 4 classes as scout, rifleman, grenadier and engineer. Each class has its own weapons and skills. The commander can build the team’s base or the vehicle’s factory which vehicles can have customized caracteristics. Well you will be able to build a real arsenal for your team and then assault the enemies.

    Nice to see something else doing that. I wonder how it'll compare to Battlezone though. That 12 year old game did FPS/RTS first as far as I know, and it's still incredibly awesome to play like back then when it was new.
