EA is going to be releasing a new SimCity game, SimCity Creator, for the Wii and DS. The Wii version will take advantage of the Wii Remote (obviously). The game is coming out in Europe on September 19, and North America gets the game on September 22.

Be a powerful mayor -- create, enjoy and destroy your ultimate city. Start by zoning your city, constructing homes, businesses, factories, skyscrapers, freeways, railroads, and much more. SimCity Creator is a visually exciting experience with a completely new user interface, designed specifically for the Wii and the Wii remote. You'll discover many ways to customize your city, including 13 city styles to explore, such as American, European and Asian themes.

I liked it when Maxis developed the games. The series lost some of its touch once EA took over the reins.

    Maxis ftw <3.

Anywho, this sounds like a lot of fun especially on the Wii because of all the features they could add because of the IR . Interesting concept I hope it all pans out well enough.

Yeah, that is true. I'd love to see what they could incorporate into the game.

This will prove to be a very good game, exspecially on the Wii.
I'd love to see what new features they could give it.

After reading more about the game, I'll admit that the Wii version does look promising. Though I'll disagree with the statement, "create, enjoy, and destroy your utlimate city." Now why would I want to go all Michael Bay on my city's ass after spending hours perfecting it?

Imo they should change the whole endgame. What else is there after you're done creating your city (besides destroying it)? My idea would be to introduce some sort of relationship concept with your neighbors along with a fundamental concept of a military. If you're sour with a neighbor they can just waltz in with their military. Not to make the game into a full-blown Command & Conquer game, but they could add it at a basic level.
