Here's an 'unfortunate' yet hilariously ironic story. So, a buyer heard of deal where you can buy Grand Theft Auto IV and a Xbox 360 Pro and receive a $50 gift card. Good deal, right? That's what he figured. So he went on down, bought it and brought it home. When he opened it, he was shocked with an 'unfortunate' surprise. His 360 was gutted and inside, sat book 7 of the "Series of Unfortunate Events". At least whoever did it had a good sense of evil humour.

Target was having a deal where if you bought both an Xbox 360 Pro and a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV , you would receive a $50 Gift Card. Thinking it was a good deal, our noble protagonist goes down to his local Target and picks up the Xbox 360 Pro and GTA IV. He buys the console and game, goes home, unboxes the machine and… well, I’ll let him explain:

The X-Box was *bleep*ing gutted. All that’s in there? All the cables and whatnot, the case, and inside that, the book “A Series of Unfortunate Events. #7″ I am sooo going to get an Elite when I take it back tomorrow. I AM PISSED! Pics to come shortly.

Is it really hilarious? I don't think so. What if it happened to you? Would you have thought the same way then? I'd sue them if it was me. Oh, and I'd also keep the book.

Is Target just an American game-store? That's one hell of a stupid thing to do. Haha, I'd be absolutely fuming if that was me. x]

target is a department store somewhat like wal-mart but more centralized in america. they have a bigger and better selection of clothes but their selection on everything else pales in comparison to walmart's

How harsh. If that happened to me, I'd sue the manager, or at least kill him/her

I'd love to meet the person who did this and congratulate him. However, if that happened to me, I'd have to smack him around a bit before having a laugh over it.

That would suck, they probably won't believe him though. At least he got a semi-good book.

The Vile Village is the best of the series. Even so, I'd be pissed if I was him.

Doesn't this guy realise he is kind of lucky? He can keep the books and return the case for a brand new console.
