Gears of War To Be Re-Released In US

Updated maps, achievements, preview of Gears of War 2 and trailers are just some of the things that will be included in a new 2-disc re-release of Gears of War for the US market. The original having sold incredibly well, this gives a chance for those that have yet to play the game.

It is currently set to be released on 24^th June 2008 for both the PC and XBOX360. No news on the European version as of yet, but it's likely to come eventually.

Microsoft has announced plans to re-release Gears of War in North America with updated maps and achievements.

The updated version of Epic's game will be available from June 24, and cost USD 39.99 for the Xbox 360 and USD 29.99 for the PC.

It's neat, but it also seems like a quick way to get money considering most of this stuff could be placed on the XBox Live marketplace.
