A level editor has been confirmed for Far Cry 2, PC and console versions. They say the level editor in the game is extremely quick and user-friendly, but it hopefully won't be too basic that you'll run out of things to do with it.

Ubisoft confirms to TVG that all three versions of Far Cry 2 will ship with a level editor for the multiplayer game...

The level editor for the original Far Cry and Instincts console port was certainly a fan favourite, and now TVG can confirm that a level editor will also ship with Far Cry 2 on all three formats.

Excellent. I love Map Editors. Although I doubt it will come close to the creativity possible in Littlebigplanet.

I will doubt it will come close to the creativity possible in most PC sandbox editors either but its a start, lets hope its half decent.

This is going to be awesome. This game is already showing to be beautiful in graphics and hardcore in gameplay. I still mess around with Map Editor on Farcry Instincts Predator from time to time.

Hopefully they add a lot more items and objects this time around.

Wow, with 300 endings and this. This game will have a lot of replay value.

A map editor with such an open-ended game.

Man...the mods that might come out of this game have incredible potential.

Holy shit! I heard that the reason that the other Far Cry game on the 360 also had a highly entertaining level editor as well. Hopefully it's not crappy like Halo's Forge but an actual editor.
