GameStop had a placement for Saints Row 2 under the PC category and today, representatives of THQ confirmed that Saints Row 2 is under development for the PC. In SR 2, co-op mode will extend through the campaign mode so two players can play through the whole story mode online together, as well as other new features. Saints Row 2 will ship on October 14th for the PS3 and 360 and GameStop also has the PC version of SR2 shipping October 14th and THQ reps said GameStop is accurate.

Following product listings on GameStop, THQ reps today confirmed that Saints Row 2 is also in development for the PC. The recently delayed GTA-esque crime-action game had been previously announced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Saints Row 2 will also offer a number of new features. Previously mission-based, online two-player co-op will now be extended to the full campaign mode, which will let a pair of virtual gangsters play through the entire story together

Saints Row 2 will ship for the 360 and PS3 on October 14. As for the PC version, a THQ rep would only say only that the GameStop product page--which has it shipping on October 14 for $39.99--"is accurate."
