Red Alert On PS3 Cancelled By EA

Krunal | June 04, 2008 | News | Playstation 3
Yet another blow for Sony who have previously announced two much-awaited games being canned. I previously asked What ever happened to Red Alert for the PS3, and unfortunately, it seems we have the answer now - it too has been 'canned'. With there being no official reason behind the cancellation, we can only hope that it's only being delayed like Bioshock... however chances for that are slim...
According to our source at Gamestop, EA has removed the PlayStation 3 version of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 from their upcoming release list.

I can't remember the last game produced by them that I bought, hell I don't think any of my console games are made by them... this would have been a great game as well... would have actually bought it

Since there a major game retailer and they obviously know what games are comming out and whihc arent. They get told by the developers.

Actually they have more incorrect information than most videogame retailers out there.

Remember when they posted release dates of God of War Chains of Olympus and others only to be pushed farther back, same as Devil May Cry 3 and such? Yea its cause they are shit in the info world.

That's what they get told by developers. There not physcic.

If they get told its coming out on a date they post it.

If they get told its delayed, they delay it. Its what they get told, And i think they know more than you.

I wonder when the 360 fanboys will start chewing on this one?

To be honesat it probably wouldn't have sold that well on PS3, hell it will probably only make a small profit on the 360. Red Alert has always been better on PC and I think the sales of RA3 will just confirm that.

EA has the unnatural ability to ruin games. How do they do it? If this was released it would probably be crap anyway.

Say that about Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars... Another top seller on the Xbox 360, the reason the Ps3 isn't getting this game is because they 360 and PC has the bigger market of RTS fans.

Not giving the PS3 market an opportunity to experience games such as that doesn't sound like a good move. If you don't test the RTS community on the PS3 how do you know if it's big or not?

Thats only from a programming perspective because obviously the 360 isn't far from Windows. You don't know what fans there are on other consoles if the games aren't available.

I really am topped off with this, its pathetic and a joke, so why cant the PS3 have it, but the crapbox360 can? Red Alert series are one of my favourites around, have had them all, completed them all and they interest me, no reason what so far? Thats just like tomorrow Sony saying there not selling any more PS3's or games, reason? there isnt one, pathetic, basically because Microsoft have managed to persuade them to an exclusive title, bunch of muppets!
