It was just a rumour back in November, however it seems to have come true as Bruce Willis is currently negotiating to star in the Kane & Lynch: Dead Men movie, as none-other than Kane. With shooting to start later this year, expect to see the game released sometime in 2009.

Die Hard actor Bruce Willis is negotiating to star in Liongate's Kane and Lynch: Dead Men movie.

Willis will play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a bald headed mercenary who partners up with pony tailed schizophrenic killer James Lynch.

This could be interesting. For once, maybe the movie will out do the game if done right.

HOLY CRAP THIS WILL BE AWESOME!

The game was just...ehh. It suffered from bad gameplay, but had a fantastic story, which was the only reason I played it twice.

I saw news on this yesterday. Bruce Willis is an action legend. I actually managed to get a 9ft tall 3D cardboard poster/cutout of Die Hard 4.0 when it first came out. I was so happy.

I respect Willis as an actor, and I think this would be a great match

Jason Statham can't do Lynch, the accent is COMPLETELY different unless people don't mind that. Michael Ironside came to mind when I saw Kane for the first time. I still can't figure out who can do Lynch though...

On a sidenote, the game's endings were fine for a movie but they just didn't feel like going through the whole game to get them really, though I doubt the movie will be able to best the endings; storyline wise.

Do you think John Malkovich(sp) could play him?

Not bad, he's probably going to have to raise his voice a lot though.

He definitely has the psychotic role down and he has the look. I don't think its absolutely necessary to sound like the voice actor, but he is an actor, so I'm sure he could tune his voice accordingly.

It's not necessarily trying to sound like the original Lynch, it's just that his voice sounds kinda like a calm person to me. Of course, he can try something like he did on "Con Air" and it will probably fit.

Uhm, yeah. You're right. Changing his accent would be totally illegal.

Hey, smartass, you actually played the game?

Yeah, I have. But I fail to see what that question has to do with a suitable actor playing the character. I'm not trying to start an argument though.

This might be the first game-to-movie adaptation that is better than the game.

Bruce Willis is a great match as Kane. They look pretty similar (albeit, Willis looks younger).

The game wasn't that bad...had a kick-ass story to it for a shooter, I was impressed. The downfall was it's gameplay of course.

Willis would be great for the role of Kane. By the way Krunal, slight error. Your last sentence: '...expect to see the game released sometime in 2009.' Movie.

I was just about to mention that.

Anyway I loved Kane and Lynch I thought it never deserved the score it got by many, a decent 7.5-8/10 imo.

      Same for Haze.

Huh, you tried Haze, Final? I was thinking of renting that, but damn what a low score.

The scores with Kane and Lynch are controversial. It had to do with that long time pro-reviewer being fired, and rumours going about that it was because of his review of K&L. Pretty sad. Game does deserve around that 8 range, I agree.

This formula might actually work. Good games get turned into bad movies, so...
