Certainly my first thought when seeing the title for this article was "what? no way!", however the first few paragraphs make it clear that the article isn't saying that XBOX Live is going down the drain - far from it. It's talking more about the fact that entering any FPS game's lobby, rather than recieving a "What's up" or general chitter chatter, your greeted with screams of curses, racial slurs and many other things.
What are your opinions on this matter?

No one can debate that Xbox Live has brought the medium of gaming to unprecedented levels. As the current frontrunner of gaming communities, Microsoft has done wonders with the ability to unite gamers from around the world into a single common goal: play games and enjoy doing so. The current state of Xbox Live has degraded to a racist, hate-fest so fast, that the hardcore gamer is getting a little fed up.

Xbox Live may not be perfect but it's still the best in the business by a long shot.

And the £40 a year for a subscription is money well spent.

"The current state of Xbox Live has degraded to a racist, hate-fest so fast, that the hardcore gamer is getting a little fed up."

It's idiotic to stereotype like that.

Well, while some gamers might feel offended by it, I enjoy it. Listening to people on Xbox Live is almost like watching Jerry Springer, it just cracks me up.

Welcome to the internet. XBOX Live inherently has the same closet racists and idiots that you'll find on any message board, chat room, or blog. Discussion over.
