The guy who got an early copy of MGS4 ... has spoiled the entire game! (No spoilers in article)

Gothic Girl | June 05, 2008 | News | Playstation 3
Earlier today it was revealed that Metal Gear Solid 4's street date had been broken, and that there was a man in the UK by the name of "Paul" who had bought a copy of the game.

It looks like "Paul" didn't only want to brag about recieving a copy of the game in MGS4 forums... He decided to spoil the ENTIRE GAME, including the name of every single Patriot.

Us Metal Gear Solid fans feel for the poor souls who were spoiled.
Yes lady and gents, now is the time to bail out of the internet. It seems a chap called Paul has leaked every single piece of information about the game as possible, including all the names of the patriots.

So please MGS fans, STAY AWAY FROM GAMING SITES FROM NOW ON.

Hahaha! I'm sorry, it's just so funny We were happy, jealous, and excited. But now we must avoid everything like the plague! Even though I'm not into the series, I was thinking of getting this one to try it out.

Heh. I wonder who's fault that is. The bragging spoiler or the reader.

Its hardly the readers fault when someone puts spoilers as the title of a thread ...

Readers would be curious and think it's bs, some haven't heard that he got the game early, it may just be lies to them.

This was bound to happen. -_-

He prob did it because he was getting the "You're full of shit!" or "We want proof!" crap that usually accompanies this type of thing. So he gave them the proof they demanded. I'm LMAO

Silly people and their spoilers. This reminds me about all the Harry Potter spoilers. Kids driving around yelling spoilers or this one (evil but I lol'ed) someone put a piece of paper in one of the books at the library with a spoiler.

I love the disclaimer "STAY AWAY FROM GAMING SITES FROM NOW ON". I totally did that with GTAIV somewhat, I still went to sites for my gaming news fix but anything GTAIV related I would skip over it asap.

I did that over a month ago.I did the same for GTAIV.

Oh and I don't see what's funny about this.If that guy ruined it for me I would kick the living shit out of him and make him think twice about doing it lol.

I'd be so shitty if someone spoiled MGS4 for me. It's one of the few games that I've tried not to read any spoilers for. I'd hate to log into a gaming forum one day and find that one moron has ruined the entire thing. >_>

I wouldn't mind it to be honest, i'll still play the game. Like someone said before its not the ending that matters its how everything unfolds that makes the game. I think Koloth stated this before.

MGS is all about the story though - and finding out what happens in the story. It dampens people's spirits if they already know the plot's main points before even playing it.

Naturally, people would still play it. But it wouldn't be as fun knowing everything there is to know about the storyline. There'd be no "mystery" and no surprises when plot twists are revealed.

Especially seeing as MGS games are always full of plot twists. You think you know what's happening, then BAM you find out you know nothing.

I'll never forget when a friend walked past during the cutscene in MGS where it seems Snake turns on you.The look on his face as he asked me "has Snake turned bad?" was priceless.

Yes the story is important but its how it unfolds thats make the game not the ending or beginning. Its the middle that makes me like a story. Thats why its not important to me for storylines.

I have to thank Paul for the spoilers. If it wasn't for him, I would never be as excited to buy a PS3 as I am now.

Indeed. Hell, if Fox were in Paul's position, he would have done the same thing. Oh wait, he did, and he didn't even have the game to spoil it for us!

But I could see how spoilers can help people decide on getting a console/game.
