Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing
8 hours 36 mins ago
Yesterday it was reported that a man in the UK by the name of "Paul" had got his hands on a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4. He then proceeded to post multiple spoilers in various MGS4 forums.
But according to Konami, this can't be true. They are keeping tabs on every major retailer that has the game and made them all sign an agreement not to release MGS4 before it's street date. Konami doesn't believe it's possible that copies of MGS4 has already been released.
Tell that to the people who got spoiled, Konami.
Speaking to MCV UK, Konami general manager Pete Stone mentioned that the publisher has very solid written agreements with retailers which safeguard against the early release of the much awaited PS3 title.
Heres a quote taken directly from Stone as he explains Konamis stand regarding the matter:
"We pride ourselves on working closely with retailers and have a continuation of the signed agreement system we used so successfully before. All major retailers are supplying written agreements that they will honour the street date no matter what, making it a level playing field across the board. We all want the game to be a huge success, and for everyone to benefit from this release."

someone could easily nab a copy, post it on ebay for a huge amount, theres bound to be fans that eager to get it
Sure, maybe someone involved in the actual development of the game or a person who reviewed it, could be posting these spoilers, but this person has shown that he has the disk and everything is up and running....So they can't believe that is the case, yes?
Have they even checked the spoilers to see how accurate they are?
Konami were so eager not to have the game spoiled after all. They didn't allow reviewers to spoil anything, but now they're ignoring the actual spoilers that are appearing everywhere? If I were Kojima, I'd be damn shitty that one kid has spoiled th eentire game on various sites.
